Principal

Gary Perkins is the founder and Principal of GP Development. Since 1989, Mr. Perkins has grown GP Development into an innovative construction company with a portfolio including contracts with state and federal buildings, Fortune 500 companies, REITS and private capital investment groups. Mr. Perkins has successfully managed, developed and constructed thousands of commercial building projects in the western United States. With a commitment to exceed client expectations, Mr. Perkins is able to offer clients a multitude of services including development services, construction management and real estate acquisition consulting.

With his hands on management style, Mr. Perkins oversees the daily management and operations of the company. Through the years, he has developed a unique integrated team approach to our projects and encourages his employees to work together to achieve success for our clients. GP Development is a company that values its resources and strives to maintain positive and successful relationships.

Mr. Perkins attended CSU Chico pursuing a degree in marketing and management. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and maintains General Building and Electrical licenses in California and a Commercial Building license in the State of Nevada.

Mr. Perkins is a current and active member with the Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS) and real estate organizations ACRE and BOMA.

Mr. Perkins is a long time resident of Loomis, California and enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters. He also loves spending quality time with his 8 cats, 2 ponies, and his pet honey badger named “Rufus.”

Jamie Price

Controller

After receiving her B.S. from CSUS (2003), Jamie found her niche in construction accounting. As Controller, she oversees all of the financial and administrative affairs of the company and works hard for all our valued clients and subcontractors. She has used her previous construction managerial experience to revamp the human resources department to better serve the employees and help minimize their weekly paperwork. In her free time, you can find Jamie on the soccer and baseball fields rooting on her kids.

Emily Roberts

Project Manager

Emily obtained her B.S. from Sacramento State University (2003) and went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (2007). Following law school, she went on to represent GC’s and subcontractors in construction defect claims and contract disputes. In 2014, Emily brought her knowledge of construction law and contracts to GP and mainly serves GP’s clients in the preconstruction phase, including working with clients lenders in obtaining project financing, estimating, contracts management, and project coordination.  In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling and snow sports.

With over 25 years in the construction industry, Steve has worked his way up from Site Supervisor to Project Manager.  As a result, he carries an incomparable in-depth knowledge of the ins and outs of a variety of commercial construction projects, with a focus on the Dental and Veterinary division of the company.  Steve works diligently and has been awarded hundreds of projects through his dedication to getting his clients the best value for their money.  He has a passion for the construction process and through his experience and understanding has the ability to respect budgets, personalize the value engineering method and organize the project to benefit his clients.  In his free time, Steve enjoys fishing, snow skiing, wake surfing, skydiving, pickleball, cow tipping, knitting, and snipe hunting,

Hector Mendoza

Project Manager

Hector joined the GP team in 2006 as a carpenter.  With his previous construction experience of 10+ years, he worked hard at GP and was promoted to Site Supervisor in 2008.  GP relies on Hector to provide exceptional customer service to his clients, supreme problem solving skills to his subcontractors and knowledgeable input to his team members. Hector has ran hundreds of successful projects to date, including the several Hearing Med Facilities throughout California, Planet Fitness and many State of California projects.  In 2016, he was promoted to a Project Manager. As Project Manager, he likes  the ability to manage projects from beginning budgeting to occupancy. He is enjoying the challenge of his new position and looks forward to more and more specialized build outs.  In his free time, Hector and his wife enjoy watching their children participate in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities.

Senior Estimator

Julie Atkinson

Senior Estimator

In 2007, Julie started as a Project Estimator and has since gone on to be the Senior Estimator with hundreds of projects to her credit. Her previous work and life experiences has given her both an eye for detail and the big picture. Julie has become a skilled Senior Estimator and is able to multitask several projects at once while also assisting clients with value engineering, communicating with subcontractors and guiding her clients through the construction process.  She estimated and was awarded several prestigious projects including Miltenyi Biotec, RMW Architecture and DaVita Dialysis.  Julie also maintains her California Real Estate License and is active in the real estate community.  In her free time, Julie enjoys hiking, cross country skiing and time with her family.

Blake Yaeger

Blake has worked diligently in the construction business for the last six years, spending his most recent years as a construction manager. In 2017, Blake received his B.S. from Sacramento State University, and a Construction Management certification from UC Davis in 2024. With his education and strong with work ethic, he has successfully managed his projects with clear communication and immaculate organization. He has built strong relationships with clients and inspectors, working hard to satisfy all parties. His loyalty and team-player mentality are a great example of what GP has to offer. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and lovin’ every day.

Grace Perkins

Project Coordinator

Grace graduated Magna Cum Lade from Pacific Union College with a B.B.A. and an emphasis in Management. She joined the GP team as an intern during college and has since seamlessly blended into the company post-grad. In 2024, she furthered her education by earning a certificate in Construction Management from UC Davis. Grace has played a key role in GP Development’s marketing strategies and has redeveloped GPD’s customer service sector. Her knowledge and personability has proven to be an asset with client relationships and project coordination. In her time away from GP Development, Grace enjoys riding her horse, running, road biking, and traveling.

Brayden Viehmann

Brayden joined the team in 2023 after spending the last 5+ years in the construction industry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Southern Adventist University and graduated top of his class. Brayden’s construction background, strong communication style, and attention to detail has aided in the success of many significant projects. In his free time, Brayden enjoys, trail running, weight lifting, and spending time outdoors with his wife and dog “Lasso.”

Bob has brought over 14+ years of construction experience and knowledge to the GP team. He uses his extensive understanding of the construction industry to assist his team members every day in producing successful projects. He is able to effectively manage several subcontractors with tight deadlines, encourage his team to hold to his strict building standards and successfully communicate with clients on all aspects of their projects. Bob has completed countless tenant improvement projects and can be relied upon to continue being a knowledgeable expert in his field. On weekends, Bob and his wife enjoy camping, hunting and fishing with their two daughters.

Juan Mendoza

Juan joined the GP team as a carpenter in 2011. Through his hard work and supreme problem solving skills, Juan was promoted to a Site Superintendent in 2013. He uses his 22+ years of extensive construction experience to work alongside various subcontractors to complete his tenant improvement projects.  His real life construction experience has given him the tools to manage and perform hands on labor to complete any tenant improvement, no matter how large and small. Included in Juan’s project portfolio are hundreds of successfully completed projects including trade schools, broker offices and occupied multilevel office buildings. His effective use of time sets him apart and his team members rely on his excellent work ethic to get the job done quickly and efficiently.  Juan enjoys his wife and children’s many extracurricular activities on the weekends.

With over 20 years in the construction industry, Oscar’s expertise has been crucial in helping GP projects run smoothly. His excellent communication with our sub-contractors and project mangers lead to quick and accurate results. Among other things, he specializes in wood framing and exercises his career with an ethical mindset. When he’s not working, Oscar enjoys fishing with his children and spending quality time with his family.
